Plateau United in search of first away victory as match as week six NPFL fixtures brought back to Saturday

Plateau United Football Club of Jos will continue their quest for a first away victory as they go up against struggling Katsina United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium this Saturday.

The team which is gradually getting its rhythm after a disappointing start to the season is not leaving anything to chance in a bid to emerge victorious against a Katsina United side who are battling to assert their authority in the league.

After another heartwarming three-nil victory over visiting Adamawa United of Yola last weekend, the spirit and confidence in Plateau United is high and coming up against a Katsina United who are struggling to make their mark in the NPFL, Plateau United look are capable of picking the three points at stake.

The team which has been training hard in order to fine-tune strategies ahead of the encounter is boosted by the fitness and confidence of the players who all know what is at stake and raring to go for nothing other than the three points. After going blank against Adamawa United last week, the strike duo of Akila Jesse and Mohammed Zulkifilu will continue their partnership in attack as they lead Plateau United resurgence with support from the midfield ably anchored by Oche Ochowechi, Isah Ndala and the pass master, Charles Henlong.

At the back, the combination of strongman, Andrew Ikefe, the confident Buhari Ibrahim and Dennis Nya in the heart of the team’s defence will provide cover for the team’s shot stopper, Chinedu Anozie who has kept three clean sheets in four outings.

Whatever formation the technical crew adopts for this encounter, one thing that is in the minds of the players is victory as they continue their rise up the ladder in order to keep hopes alive for a continental ticket at the end of the season.
