Plateau United trade tackles with Nasarawa United in a North Central derby of the NPFL

Plateau United Football Club of Jos will continue their resurgence as they confront neighbour, Nasarawa of Lafia in a crucial seven encounter of the Nigeria Professional Football League slates for the Jos international stadium this friday.

The peace boys who picked a valuable away point against Katsina United at the Mohsmmadu Dikko Stadium are brimming up with confidence as they square up against a strong solid miners who are yet to test defeat in the six old NPFL .

The team which is now occupying the ninth spot on the league table will be coming out smoking in their quest to win the match which promises to be an explosive tie in view of the current form of both sides.

Nasarawa United who are having a decent start to the season after going unbeaten in six matches including two away wins , will however meet a wounded Plateau United side desperate to avoid any home defeat after the one against Kwara United in the first match of the season.

With virtually all the players fit and available for selection , except for long throw specialist, Daniel Itodo who just returned from injury, there will no hiding place for the visitors who who unfortunately have not escape defeat in Jos since 2016.

Plateau United will as usual rely on the services of its reliable players such as goalkeeper Chinedu Anozie who has kept four clean sheets in five outings , Defenders , Andrew Ikefe, Buhari Ibrahim, Abubakar Ibrahim and Mike Zaruma return from the Flying Eagles has seen him cementing his rightful back position so far.In the middle of the pack, Isah Ndala whose Rich vein of form has seen him making the team of week , week in , week out, will be complemented by another hardworking player , Oche Ochowechi to dislodge the opponents and deliver the much needed passes that will see the likes of Akila Jesse and Mohammed Zulkifilu to score the much needed goals.

Though, the which will be shown live on television promises to be an explosive tie, but the side with much hunger and determination will carry the day as both sides go all out for the three maximum points.
