Plateau Utd seek to consolidate NPFL submit

Plateau United Football Club of Jos will be aiming for a third straight win as they welcome second placed, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in a top of the table clash slated for the New Jos Stadium Sunday.

The peace boys as Plateau United are fondly called are in high spirit ahead of this explosive encounter after recording it’s first away victory, a one-nil win over newly promoted, Jigawa Golden Stars of Dutse in Kano.

Debutante, Nenrot Silas who scored the all important goal, will be the cynosure of all eyes as his pace and dribbles will create headache for the Wikki Tourists defence who had already suffered a three-nil defeat to Plateau United in a pre-season friendly in September.

Though, alot of water has passed under the bridge, Plateau United is not dwelling in the past, as such, the team is battle ready for it’s opponents knowing fully well that they have now parted ways with former coach, Zubairu.

Aside from Nenrot Silas, Mustapha Ibrahim, Abba Umar, Oche Ochewechi and Amos Gyang can wreck havoc on any team any time any day. As such, there will be no hiding place for Wikki Tourists.

Ikefe Andrew, Buhari Ibrahim, Mike Zaruma and long throw specialist, Daniel Itodo will coordinate things at the back and provide cover to safe hands, Chinedu Anozie who have conceeded only a goal so far in the three weeks old NPFL.

A win for Plateau United will see them amassing the three maximum points at stake in this match and nine points which will also see them retaining their top spot on the league top.
