Rangers Intl upbeat ahead CAF Confederation 2nd leg

Players of Rangers Intl FC of Enugu have vowed to progress to the next phase of the 2019/2020 CAF Confederation Cup despite losing the first leg 2-1 in Libreville against A.S Pelican.

Temitope Olusesi who captained the side said they have put the defeat behind and are now focusing on the return fixtures in Enugu on September 29, 2019.

“This was a game we could have won easily but some element of luck did not favor us.

We did all that was supposed to be done to even earn a draw but it was not to be our day. Be that as it may, we have put the loss behind and focus of the match in Enugu where we hope to earn agood win to get into the next round,”

Nnamdi Egbujuo who scored the only goal for the Flying Antelopes also expressed his optimism for the return leg.

“I am very positive about what will happen in the secondleg in Enugu. Our target in Libreville was not achieved not because wedid not play good football but luck was not on our side. I urge ourfans to come out in their numbers to drum us to victory as we remainfocused to emerge champions at the end of the competition.”
