Rivers United Boss Stanley Eguma says his side are still much in the race to winning the 20-21 Nigeria Professional Football League title.
Eguma in an interview told Rivers United Media ahead of Sunday’s league game against Sunshine Stars at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium insisting River United are still in the race to winning the NPFL title.
Rivers United were beaten 4-1 in their last outing away to Lobi Stars in Makurdi and sit 7th in the table.
“Yes we (Rivers United) still on. The league is still on, ” said Eguma.
“The first half (of the league) is not even over and then we talk of the second round.
“We are still on and I strongly believe we can go against all odds to contend for the league title.”
