SWAN National Registration: Ekiti State Chapter Chairman, Oladapo Offers Financial Support To Members

The chairman Sport Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN Ekiti State chapter, Qozeem Oladapo has supported ten members of the association financially to duly register with the National body in a bid to encourage more members in the State.

Oladapo stated this at the weekend in Ado-Ekiti that the gesture tagged “NATIONAL SWAN REGISTRATION SUBSIDY” was aimed at motivating more members of the association to promptly register with the National body.

He said though the token was just a thousand naira for each of 10 interested members including a female sport anchor who get automatic slot to support her registration.

“I hope that this gesture will ginger members to obtain their National SWAN identity cards,” said Oladapo.

“The registration of at least ten new members will be an addition to five executive members who had earlier signified interest to personally register.”

The Ekiti SWAN chairmann however urged the National SWAN secretariat to speed up efforts at ensuring deserving members are not deprived of their national identity cards.

“Only seven members out of twelve who paid for their registration in 2021 got their ID cards while others did not get theirs, a development which might discourage members from registering.

“Efforts towards ensuring registration of more members would be intensified in the next couple of weeks as the present executive of the association will be a year in office on January 27,” he concluded.

He also promised to come up with more people oriented initiatives that will benefit members and make the Association a force to reckon with nationally.
