It is no longer news that four Super Eagles Players have dropped out of the list of invited players for the forthcoming 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations tournament slated to take place in Cameroon.
Leon Balogun who plies his trade with Scottish side, Rangers is among the players that will not be available for the biannual competition slated to commence from January 9th.
The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that Semi Ajayi has been drafted to replace the Rangers defender.
However I don’t think it is a wise idea to invite Ajayi when we have Akinkunmi Amoo that we have been clamoring for his inclusion due to his form at the club side.
Amoo would have been the perfect replacement for Leon Balogun since he is a midfielder. The defenders already in the list are just enough for the competition.
Akinkunmi Amoo is one of the best versatile players at the moment and deserves a place in the Super Eagles.
