Nigerian forward Josiah Emmanuel has explained why he was always referred to as the FAVOURITE in all clubs he plied his trade with both within and outside the shores of the country.
The 21-year-old did not only enjoy blistering goal form but was the coaches’ favourite as well as the players in all his previous clubs.
The former Steaua Chisinau, Real Success, FC Zaria Balti, OFK Mladost, and FK Podgorica, who spoke with the press said hardwork, attitude and respect for his coaches earned him the name FAVOURITE.
The U-23 national team eligible, who is on the verge of joining an undisclosed Champions League side also pointed to his success on the pitch as another factor for why he is called the favourite.
Josiah boasts of 33 goals and 23 assists with his former sides.
In his words “Well, I am surprised to see that the name “Favourite” has become something everyone identifies with and it started since I was young at the academy.
“In my first experience in Europe, the trend continued with the coaches telling me that they like me and how I work hard on the pitch, my attitude and all of that.
“I have always believed that I should have good a good relationship with everyone and that I do religiously because, for you to enjoy team play. “
He therefore, vowed to remain unchanged as he takes another big step in his career with a Champions League side.
