Chairman organizing committee of the 2021 Irepodun/Ifelodun Community Unity Cup, Popoola Adefemi says the Local Football Council has reached an agreement with Vicolas as the sponsor of the grassroots football competition.
Adefemi told Journalist in Afao Ekiti after it general meeting that the Local Football Council is proud to enter into a partnership with Vicolas.
“Vicolas will sponsor the 2021 Irepodun/Ifelodun Community Unity Cup,” said Adefemi.
“We’re happy to have Vicolas as the sole sponsor for this year’s competition. It a great development for football in Irepodun/Ifelodun,” he maintained.
“It a great honor to have Vicolas identify with Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Football Council,” said chairman of the Local Football Council, Olaifa Temitope.
“I believe other prominent persons like him (Vicolas) in the local government should emulate his good idea, they should identify with the football council to help encourage and develop football among youth in the local government.”
Meanwhile the draws for the Unity Cup will hold November 26 at a yet to be determined venue.
Adefemi said a venue will be communicated to all the representatives in each town for the draw before November 26.
