Rivers United Won’t Escape Defeat In Yenagoa, Says Bayelsa United Timitimi

Bayelsa United forward Timitimi Ineikade says his side are well prepared to face Rivers United on Monday in Yenagoa.

Ineikade told FreekickNaija.com.ng in a telephone conversation on Saturday evening that the Stanley Eguma boys won’t escape defeat in matchday 32.

Bayelsa United are placed 17th with 36 points from 31 games played.

“I am looking forward to getting the 3 points against Rivers United,” said Ineikade.

“Though, Rivers have a very quality team but that doesn’t stop us from beating them tomorrow.

“We must be clinical on goal so as to bury the game before 90 minutes. We can’t afford any slip due to the position we find ourselves in the log.”

Ineikade futher revealed that he was confident Bayelsa United will not be relegated at the end of the season.

“We (Bayelsa) are sure of not going on relegation because we have two home games in hand to play and by God grace, we will come out victors.

“We are putting in so much hard work to make sure we win those games but for now is one game at a time so we are focusing on how to get our 3 points tomorrow then we think on the way forward.

When asked what was responsible for his team poor run in the league, he replied: “Is not that we’re poor, sometimes you have bad times and sometimes you have good times that is football for you but we’re working so hard to come out of it.”
