Just like we have so much untapped resource in Nigeria so we have raw football talent waiting to be harness and some ex International have refused to take their eyes away from these budding talent and thus decided to run an Academy in order to expose them.
The ex internationals are Moses Adams and Dayo Davies, they came together to establish moses and davies Academy as far back as 2015.
Moses Adams played for Ranchers bees football club of Kaduna and Waterlo of Belgium and Dayo Davies also played for many teams in Nigeria before lacing his boot for maccabi FC of Israel.
Moses and Davies Football Academy between 2015 and 2019 have discovered so many players from the grassroot and thrown them into the forays of the Nigera national league, Nigeria premier league and foreign clubs.
The football Academy has three players in the last set of Nigeria under 17 national team, they produce the 17 years old chikatara who plays for Liecester city of England junior team, Abraham Ocheje is paying for a Turkish division one club and kingley Celestine is plying his trade in Portugal.
Some of the Academys achievement includes winning the 2019 Edition of Leke James International Youth Soccer tournament at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna.
Presently, the managemt of the Academy is working on a three year youth developmental training programme to recruite gifted and talented youths from the grassroots for their under -10 and under- 15 age group category.
According to the Belgium based former player of FC Waterlo of moses Adams and his partner Dayo Davies “ we are working towards having a football academy of an international standard in few years time, Moses & Davies football WILL compete favourably with other academy in other part of the world”
Dayo davies of former Maccabi fc of Isreal added that the academy do not compromise standard, he said they recruit only players that can fit into the system and give room to players with ability to learn.
The duo belief there is need to focus on taping talent from the nook and crannies of the country as lack of such effort will only be wasteful for the nation.
