2017 NPFL Winning Plateau Utd players beg Gov Lalong to redeem pledges

A member of 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Plateau United has called on Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong to full the 1.5 Million Naira and a plot of land promises made to the state owned club for winning the league.

A chunk of the players who now ply their trade in other clubs have repeatedly turned down approaches to return to the team in the ongoing transfer window.

A player who preferred his name not to be mentioned said they are not happy with the turn of events and how they are being treated despite bringing smiles to the people of the state for the first time in many years.

He said  even their families would not believe them that they have not received a dime from the state governor.

Another player who had left the team but could not hide his feeling has said he is still expecting the Governor to redeem his pledges and called on well meaning Nigerians to appeal to the Governor not to renege his promise.
