Nigeria National League, NNL side, Ekiti United are on the verge of floating it Academy.
According to a report monitored by FreekickNaija.com.ng on the Ekiti United Facebook handle, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon. Micheal Awopetu said Ekiti United will soon have its Academy for junior players who can be groomed to replace ageing players in the main team.
Hon. Awopetu also said two coaches namely Mayowa Afolabi and Femi Kumuyi have been employed as coaches for the football academy.
“I urged you to be alive to your responsibilities while on and off duties,” Awopetu said.
He assured that efforts were being intensified to cushion the effects of non-availabilty of functional vehicle to convey the players.
