Nnoshiri nets brace in Real Oviedo’s 9-1 victory over Navarro

By: Johnpaul Nnamdi

Former Nigeria U20 forward Samuel Nnoshiri scored a brace as Real Oviedo B thrashed Navarro 9-1 in their Spanish Tercera Division encounter over the weekend.
The former Heartland player opened the scoreline in the 25th minute and later provided an assist for the second goal before recording his brace 39 minutes into the game.
With these goals, Nnoshiri has opened his goal account for the Spanish side since leaving the Nigeria Professional Football League last season.
Having been blighted by injuries, he made his seventh appearance of the season for Oviedo B, who are unbeaten in the league after nine matches, and will hope to extend the streak when they play host to Praviano in a midweek contest.

“I was very very happy, excited about the goal. Opening my goal account in Europe is not that easy, but I give thanks to God almighty. Since I came, I have not been playing because of one injury or the other, but (today) I am playing and making the starting line-up, thanks to God, I dedicate the goals to God,” Nnoshiri stated.
