The Anambra State Sports Solution Initiative (ANSSI) is revolutionizing the sports landscape in Anambra State, providing a progressive path to talent discovery and development. Through its flagship program, the Anambra State School Sports Festival, ANSSI is uncovering and nurturing exceptional talents across the state.Last year’s edition of the festival was a resounding success, with over 600 primary and secondary schools participating and discovering young, raw talents who went on to excel at the National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State. Some of these athletes have secured academic scholarships in top schools in Abuja and Anambra State, a testament to the initiative’s impact.
This year’s edition promises to be even bigger and better, with 756 schools already registered to participate. The festival will feature 12 sporting events, including Athletics, Basketball, Chess, Football, Scrabble, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Cricket, and Ncho, across three categories: U-12, U-14, and U-18.ANSSI’s commitment to talent discovery and development is unwavering, with a focus on providing a platform for young people to reach their full potential.
