Former Royal Queens Coach Thumbs Up Organisers Of Flying Officers Cup Pre-season Tournament

Former Royal Queens FC Coach, Abayomi Olorunda has thumbs up the organisers of the biggest women preseason tournament, the Flying Officers Cup.

Abayomi who was in company of Omatsola Sifo, chairman of Royal Queens in Abuja at the just tournament was fascinated with the organisation compared to the last two edition.

The former Plateau United goalkeeper said organizing a tournament of this nature will help develop and promote the girl child.

“A massive preseason tournament and I must give kudos to the organisers for putting everything in place to allow the teams have adequate preparation for the new season,” said Olorunda.

“I was at the second edition and there is been a lot of great improvement to it and I’l give them a 100% for hosting a successful tournament.

“Tournament like this gives the girl child responsibility and a sense of belonging.

“Apart from the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL they no they will always look forward to a preseason tournament that is almost like the league.”

Olorunda charged others to take a cue from what Ratels Sports Development Foundation has been doing to encourage the girl child.

“It’s a good example for others to follow. If we can have 3-4 other persons that can come into helping and promoting the girl child, not just the girl child in sports but in other aspect of life.”

FC Robo Queens won the third edition of the Flying Officers Cup after defeating Edo Queens 1-0 in the final last Sunday.
