MOB Ekiti Central Unity Cup Gets Ekiti FA Backing

The second edition of the Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, MOB Ekiti Central Unity cup over the weekend received a major boost from the Ekiti State Football Association, EKSFA.

The Chief Oluwole Oloworemo led board said the association is fully in support and will give all the necessary assistant to the organising committee of the Unity Cup.

The first edition was held last year with over 1000 participants both in the male and female categories.

“As an association, we will continue to support grassroots football development in the State,” said Oloworemo.

“It is our duty to provide the enabling environment for football to thrive and this is one of our vocal point.

“We shall continue to give adequate support and assistance towards encouraging individuals and corporate organizations who are so committed and willing to sponsor and invest in football tournaments in the State,” Oloworemo maintained.

Responding on behalf of the organising committee, MOB sports coordinator, Adefemi Popoola thanked the FA boss for identifying with them.

“Let me use this medium to thank our energetic and hard working FA chairman for throwing his weight behind this tournament.

“It is a very big boost for us and we assure you of our maximum cooperation all through the tournament,” said Popoola.

The tournament is set to kick-off soon in all the local government area of the Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
