Olympians Association appoints Dr. Victoria Nlemigbo Electoral Committee Chairman

The Olympians Association of Nigeria has appointed the Founder and President, Women Football Alstars Association of Nigeria, Dr. Victoria Nlemigbo Esq as the Electoral Committee Chairman for her forthcoming elections. This decision was made during her virtual Executive Committee meeting held on Zoom on the 26th of September , 2022.

Dr. Victoria Nlemigbo is a Lawyer by profession and a very versatile and experienced sports administrator and Sports Lawyer.

The election has been scheduled for November 2nd 2022, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

President of the Association, Olumide Oyedeji made this known in a statement he released late Thursday in Akure.

Barr. Audu Lawal was also commissioned as Secretary while Ilesanmi Stephen, the Deputy Director, Ondo State Sports Council as member.

According to the President, Olumide Oyedeji, the Association deems it fit to commission the former Head of Women Football in the Fct, Abuja and her team because of the need to ensure a very credible, transparent and generally acceptable election.

He noted that the Association was very selective in it’s choice because of the proven record, experience and uprightness of the Committee Chairman, who is a founding Member, Former Female Athletes of Nigeria and her team.

He added that Bar Victoria’s wealth of experience was needed by the Association to ensure an election that would usher in the new batch of officials to continue progressing the Association.

In his words “After much deliberations, we have decided to commission Dr. Victoria Nlemigbo Esq as the Electoral Committee Chairman of our 2022 elections.

“We are aware of her antecedents, proven record, experience and uprightness and this is why we have decided to have her prepare and organize a very credible and transparent election to user in the next batch of officials to continue progressing the Association.

“She would be joined by Barr. Audu Mohammed Lawal as the Secretary and Mr. Ileaanmi Stephen as a member.

“I wish them the very best.”
