Former Super Eagles Star player and Kaduna State Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PIFAN) Comrade Taju oyekanmi, has applauded the unification of top Ex Footballers that gathered at the Yelwa Mini-stadium to play Novelty matches that involved many selected teams around kaduna Metropolis and the matches were well coordinated by the organizers.
The former Ranchers Bees Kaduna and BCC lions FC Gboko star player was highly happy seeing his former playing mates coming as one big family, it was full of fun that players of yesterday are no longer playing actively any longer today.
The chairman believed in togetherness for achievement and Progress as divisions can’t make any meaningful developments.
Speaking to Freekick Naija, he said “I am very happy that as we sat down to arrange this epic events, it is a way forward for our progress. I thank all those that contributed morally and financially the names are too numerous to be listed but the benchmark of the whole thing is unification of the Ex players movements in such a way that we can be coming together all the time’. He said.
Among the players that played the Novelty matches are former highest goalscorer in the Nigerian league Ishaya Jatau, Akin Akinshiende, Abubakar Aliyu, Paul Agada, David Amanyi,Sani Abdullahi, Emma okpula, Sunday Harry and hosts of others.
Oyekanmi said more valuable arrangements are on the pipeline for developments.
