Port Harcourt Agog for Nationwide League Pre-Season Tournament

Four Port Harcourt based clubs, SKE, Dolphins FA, Willbros FC, and Benedi United will slug it out in preseason in Port Harcourt come February 2021.

With the Nationwide League One (NLO) set to kick off in March 2021, all is set for the maiden edition of the NLO pre-season tournament.

The anticipated tournament is to hold between the 10th of February 2021 and the 2nd of March 2021.

The tournament will serve as a dress rehearsal for the NLO league and a good preparatory ground for the teams who will feature in the Nationwide League One, Division 1-3 kick-starting in March 2021.

Organizers of the tournament say they are leaving no stone unturned towards ensuring that the tournament is hitch-free and successful and it will be on a home and away match basis.

“We want to prepare the teams for a good run in the league that kicks off in March,” Kingsley Olisa said in a press conference.

“It is important that clubs are ready to start the season and this will be the closest they will get in playing competitively and that is the essence of this pre-season tournament.”
