Who Will Lead Super Eagles Attack If Al Shabab Blocks Odion Ighalo From Representing Nigeria?

It is no longer news that Super Eagles Interim head coach, Austine Eguavoen is battling to have full complement of his invited players for the forthcoming 2021 African Cup Of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

This is coming after some Super Eagles’ foreign professionals are reported to have pulled out of the tournament due to injuries, health concerns and club’s permission.

And it appears the storm is not yet over for the coach as recent report has it that Saudi club Al Shabab is also attempting to hold back Super Eagles’ Forward Odion Jude Ighalo from participating in the African most prestigious football tournament.

According to Thisday Newspaper and other reputable media, Al Shabab excuse is similar to the one given by Watford for blocking Emmanuel Dennis from honoring his invitation to the national team.

Super Eagles attack is already depleted due to the absence of Victor Osimhen and Emmanuel Dennis.

Odion Ighalo is considered to the man that would lead the attack in the absence of the two strikers. However, if Al Shabab refuse to release Ighalo, the attacking option would now lies between Taiwo Awoniyi and Sadiq Umar.

For any eventuality? Who do you think can lead the Super Eagles attack at the forthcoming tournament? Kindly share your thoughts below the comments section.
