Vandrezzer FC kick off their Nigeria National League campaign on a losing note after they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Julius Atete FC in one of the week two fixture played at the Otu Jeremi Stadium.

37th minute effort from Samson Edje was enough for J.Atete to overcome a resient side who are making their first appearance in the lower division.

Head coach of Vandrezzer FC, Rafael Everton described the game as difficult and attributed the goal conceded to lost of concentration in the early minutes of the game.

“The game was difficult. We had a problem in the first 20 minutes, afterwards we started playing well. The defence and midfield were great, our only problem were the wing backs. I believe the next game will be full of chances at goal for us” he said.
