There is high chances that Nigeria might be drawn against the Black Stars of Ghana later today as the Confederation of African Football stage the final playoffs draws for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign.
The draw is expected to take place in Douala, Cameroon later this evening.
Ten countries who have made it thus far will be divided into two levels based on the official FIFA ranking, published in November 2021.
Top five rank teams will face the rest five teams with the first leg to be decided at the home of the lower-ranked teams.
This means Nigeria could rekindle their football rivalry with the Black Stars of Ghana and other strong oppositions such as Egypt, Cameroon, Mali and DR Congo to book a place in Qatar.
