The oil and gas businessman was able to keep up the youth busy in the Area of football in kaduna and Environ for the past 16years with his well structured yearly Football Tournament- Tag Tonsjos youth Football Tournament which proposed by a former Super Eagles star player Emmanuel okpula, and with the acceptance of the Title holder of the idoma kingdom- Chief Benjamin omale the ohoinyeta K Idoma kingdom.
Chief Benjamin omale JP was a great Footballer but never played top flights Football due to Educational purse and learning of business but he is very passionate in Football which made him very Exceptional in that Area.His competition had produced players for our domestic league and international Clubs and it is oldest Football competition that is been sponsored by an individual for the past 16years.
If anything is to go by, he deserved an award from the state government through the kaduna state Football Association but they may not have that search lights perhaps in the nearest future but the concern is keeping the youths out the streets for better future opportunities and Engagement.
On Sunday being 7/1/2024 which was the ground finale of the 16th Edition of the Tournament, the turnouts of the Crowds at the Yelwa mini stadium in chikun local government was a record breaking as it witnessed randomly estimated to over Ten thousands spectators coming to cheer their various Clubs to victory but the turnouts was very impressive that any reputable politicians would want to Associate the the oil and gas magnet.
The final was played between idokos Football Club of Television vs Future Eagles Football Club kakuri.Idokos won by Two goals to One.
The crowds pulling Epic events was able to bring many personalities together starting from a close childhood friend of chief Benjamin omale, the present, President of Nigeria Union of Teachers who also serve as vice president of Nigeria labour Congress Comrade Audu Amba whom happened to be his primary school mates and also he donated substantially in this just concluded Tournament and other Dignitaries that grace the Events are those close relatives from Europe and Top Governments functionaries and Ex internationals and Traditional rulers.
