TZAR Olota Community Unity Cup Sponsor Delighted With Teams Turn Out

Twelve teams have picked up forms for the much awaited TZAR Olota Community Unity Cup due to kick-off in Ado-Ekiti.

With just two days into registration, a total of Sixteen teams showed interest to participate in the grassroots football development initiative with only twelve teams picked.

The four other teams have been placed on standby pending any last changes from the twelve teams picked.

Reacting to this development, the sponsor and patron of Ado Youth Football Committee, Temitayo Abdulrasaq has expressed delight with the turn out of teams despite initial doubts.

“(The turnout of teams is) very impressive. “Initially we doubted if teams could meet up in Organising themselves considering the fact that we don’t have the luxury of time.

“I’m very impressed with their turnout and attitude so far,” said the president of TZAR Foundation to the Media Committee of the Unity Cup.

He further stated that his desire is to have the competition annually to afford teams the opportunity to develop.

“I hope this turn out to be a yearly thing and grow to become a talent hub for bigger competitions and platform where good players can showcase their talents,” said the former goalkeeper.

The sixteen teams that picked up their forms according to the committee technical adviser, Kehinde Anjorin are; Young Stars FC, Dalimore FC, Teniola FC, Ajaye FC, Marakana FC, EKSU FC, Champions FC, Agbana FC, 11 Lions, Arewa FC, Azeez FC, Future Pro FC, Shalom FC, Covenant FC, Shakers FC and Ori Apata FC.

The draws for the knockout stage will hold on Sunday 14th November, 2021.
