During his playing days, there was hardly a winger better than Finidi George. Even in the team photo shoots, no one crossed his hands better than him. However after retirement “El Finito” has been cutting his teeth as a coach.
In an interview session with Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece as obtained by FreekickNaija, Finidi has declared that he is ready to handle any of Nigeria’s national teams after gathering the necessary needed to prepare himself for the challenge.
I’m willing and ready if the opportunity arises for me to coach any of the national teams. Super Eagles, the youth teams, either U20 or U17, I would not say no. I am ready, I have garnered the experiences all that is needed is the opportunity to show what we have. ”
Answering further, Finidi stressed that his preference has always been the youth teams, even though he is ready for whatever level “I am not afraid of the challenge. I have worked with youth players. I have always said I wanted the youth team because that is what I have been doing here in Europe; from Real Mollarca, in Holland. I have worked with youth players, 15, 16, 17 years of age and iknow them well and can really impact them”.
Finidi interned as acoach at PEC Zwolle and has coached youth teams both in Netherlands and Real Mallorca in Spain.
