The governor of osun state Alh Isiaka gboyega Oyetola last month gave the go ahead for the renovation of the oshogbo township so that sporting activities can resume, especially football matches and track and field.
The commissioner for youth and sport Mr yemi lawal who had made promises about the renovation is ensuring work goes on smoothly to deliver the government promise.
The stadium have been closed down for renovation work,so as to bring it to meet the required standard of the LMC, NNL and NWFL.

along side the special Adviser to the governor on youth and sport Adelabu Aremo lateef, ensured the the work started on time so that activities can resume fully at the stadium in preparation for the National sport festival in Delta these year, to also make it available for use for the 2022/2023 season
The senior special Assistant to the governor on sport development Mr Vincent Akinbami said that the governor Alh Isiaka Oyetola want to ensure that his government aid the state football clubs, osun united and osun babes meet the infrastructure requirements of the club Licensing requirements.
Speaking further ,the commissioner for youth and sport Mr yemi lawal added that the governor Alhaji Isiaka gboyega Oyetola want to ensure that sport becomes a priority in his agenda so as to engage youth and take them off the street from negativities,sport he added will be a major focus of the governor in his second coming, he added that after the main football pitch, the football training pitch and the track will also be worked on.
