We Showed Great Character Today, says Katsina United Head Coach Tony Bolus

Katsina United head coach, Tony Bolus has praised his side attitude and character after they held Heartland to a 1-1 draw in Owerri on Sunday evening.

Katsina United went into matchday 4 fixtures after a goalless draw against Lobi Stars on matchday 3 of the Nigeria Premier Football League in Katsina.

The Chanji Boys went behind to Christian Nnaemeka’s 4th minute strike but Michael Ibe leveled score in the 74th minute for Katsina United when he benefited from Moses Effiong’s cornerkick to jab home unmarked.

“It was a fantastic game,” Bolus said moment after the final whistle.

“My boys showed great attitude and character. We did not understand the pitch because it was too bumpy and it affected our pattern which led to us conceeding early in the first half.

“We came out better in the second half and showed we wanted to get a result despite the pitch affecting our flow but we got a deserved equalizer,” said Bolus.

Katsina United will next host Sunshine Stars at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina next Sunday.
