Reigning champions, Plateau United Football Club of Jos will take their new found form to Kaduna, as the face former Champions, Kano Pillars in a match day four encounter of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The match will be decided at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, which is now the adopted home of Kano Pillars will be a tough tie for both sides who are experiencing contrasting fortunes in a quest to assert their authority in the league.
The Peace Boys as Plateau United are fondly called, will be coming up against an equally ambitious Kano Pillars side who are brimming with confidence after going three match including a precious away point against second placed Nasarawa United after forcing the solid miners to a one-all draw at the Lafia City Stadium.
Plateau United who seems to have found their rhythm after the heartwarming victory over the Naze Millionaires last Sunday are going into this tie with a lot of confidence, something that will makes the match an explosive one.
With the return of the team’s regular players such Oche Ochowechi, Isah Ndala, Andrew Ikefe, Abba Umar and Mike Zaruma, Kano Pillars will be in for a big trouble containing Plateau United whose strength lies in the midfield where the dictate the game.
However, Kano Pillars are not an easy customer anytime any day as their experience and pedigree in the NPFL makes them a hard customer anytime any day, something Plateau United must be weary of. With team captain and talisman, Rabiu Ali still anchoring the midfield for the Masu Gida , the experienced player have the capacity to influence any match with defence split passes to his forward to do the damage, no any team cannot afford to take him for granted.
