Ukraine fight back to hold Super Eagles in Intl friendly

Nigeria Super Eagles played out a 2-2 draw against Ukraine in Tuesday’s International friendly game decided at the Dnipro Arena.

The first 45 minutes saw Nigeria leading with two goals before they were pecked back by the Europeans at the second half.

Debutant, Ayodele Aribo registered the opening goal for Nigeria in the third minute of the encounter after Samuel Kalu superb drive to set up Alex Iwobi who squared the ball to Aribo to score.

Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin stopped what would have been Nigeria’s second goal as he denied Samuel Chukwueze who came close to scoring.

At 34 minutes, Nigeria scored her second goal through Victor Osimhen who converted a penalty kick  after Samuel Kalu was fouled inside the box area.

Ukraine got the better part of the second half as Nigeria lost concentration.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Roman Yaremchuk netted two goals in quick  succession at the 77th minute to  cancelled out first-half efforts from Joe Aribo and Victor Osimhen.
